Bertha (Bertie) Hart
Bertie Hart, born in New York City on July 12, 1914, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 31, 2016. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, April 3d at 1:30 pm in Beth Yeshurun Post Oak Cemetery, 1037 N. Post Oak Road in Houston, 77055, with Rabbi Jack Segal officiating. Ernie Meyerson
Irving Louis (Ernie) Meyerson passed away February 7, 2016. He was born in Houston on February 19, 1925. After graduation from San Jacinto High School, Ernie went to Tulane University. As a member of the Naval R.O.T.C. he attended Officer Candidate School where he was commissioned an Ensign. He became a member of the Amphibious Forces and skippered a L.C.T. in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He remained active in the Naval Reserve until 1969, when he was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant J.G.

Ronald always preferred to be called “Ronnie”. Ronnie loved life to its fullest and always to its most extreme—for that, he paid the ultimate price. He was called back home, too soon for us, but right on time for our Heavenly Father. Ronnie’s start in this world was pretty hard. He was in and out of hospitals since birth and had two heart surgeries before the age of ten.

Jerome “Jerry” Gottesman
Jerry Gottesman died January 21, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Haifa, Israel, to Miriam and Leo Gottesman, both Holocaust survivors, Jerry began a life in Brooklyn at the age of 6 when his parents immigrated to the US. After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Brooklyn College, Jerry attended the University of Toledo Law School and later the South Texas School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree in Law.
