Sidney Ervin Tiras

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sidney Ervin Tiras, who died on July 18, 2026, at the age of 97.

Sidney was born on January 11, 1929, and was raised in Houston.

He is survived by his wife, Su Le Tiras; his children, Yvonne and Jeffrey Weiss, and Samuel and Andrea Tiras; his grandchildren, Taylor and Brannen Davis, Sterling and Emma Tiras, and Jordan Tiras and Craig Covitz; and his great-grandson, Bennett Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Louis and Rose Seibel Tiras, and his brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Aileen Tiras.

Memorial Service details will be announced by the family.
